Describe one sequence
Begin with the NotchNook version and macOS version. Name the feature you were using, explain the action you took and describe what happened next. Then say what you expected to happen.
For example, identify the music application and the selected source for a media-control report, or the display arrangement for a panel-placement report. Those details make the scenario specific enough to investigate.
- App and system: NotchNook version, macOS version and Mac model.
- Steps: the two or three actions that lead to the issue.
- Expected: what the control or feature should have done.
- Actual: what appeared instead, including the exact error text.
- Context: music source, display arrangement or other setup relevant to that feature.
Attach the evidence that answers the question
A screenshot is useful for a missing control, an error message or a layout issue. A short recording is better for an animation, a gesture or a sequence that changes over time.
For a performance observation, note which feature was active, whether the issue occurred after sleep or a display change, and what you observed. If you include an Activity Monitor capture, keep the time and task associated with it so it has context.
Keep the next reply easy
Send the report to support@getnotchnook.com and keep follow-up details in the same conversation. If it concerns a purchase, include the receipt or order reference as well.
A focused report helps the team distinguish setup questions, purchase questions and application behavior. You can add a new observation when it appears, especially if a small sequence makes the result repeatable.
