Install the application
The download page lists the current release and the minimum macOS requirement. Download the disk image, open it and drag NotchNook into Applications. Then open NotchNook from Applications.
The official first-launch instructions explain the normal macOS confirmation for an application downloaded from the internet. Follow the guidance on the download page if you are moving from a previous release.
- Download the disk image from getnotchnook.com/download.
- Open it and drag NotchNook into Applications.
- Open the copy in Applications and respond to the normal macOS first-launch prompt.
Open the Nook and make the first checks
Move the pointer to the notch or swipe down on the trackpad. The Nook opens at the top of the display. On a notchless screen, use the handle in the same area.
Play a track, open the panel and try the music controls. Then create a short note and set a timer. These checks give you a quick feel for both the panel and its small daily tools.
Add the features you use
Calendar and camera features use their corresponding macOS permissions. Grant the relevant access when setting up the tools you want to use. If you used an earlier release, check the official instructions about granting access again and enabling Launch at login.
